Disciplinary Report 2020-2021

April 17, 2021 - Whitecourt Wolverines player, Tyler Mahan, is suspended for three (3) games, for a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during an April 17, 2021 game in Whitecourt.  The original call on the ice was a major for interference.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines next three (3) games.

April 4, 2021 - Drumheller Dragon player, Kasey Hiemstra, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing, during an April 3, 2021 game in Drumheller.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines. This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next three (3) games.

April 4, 2021 - Drumheller Dragon player, Carter Belitski, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during an April 3, 2021 game in Drumheller.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next three (3) games.

April 4, 2021 - A video review has taken place on a cross check delivered by Calgary player, Christiano Aiello, during an April 3, 2021 game in Calgary.  The review has found that the Calgary player, Christiano Aiello should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines.  Therefore, Calgary player, Christiano Aiello, is suspended (2) two games. 

April 4, 2021 - Calgary Canucks player, Landon-Samuel Kolnik, is suspended for three (3) games, for a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during an April 3, 2021 game in Calgary.  The original call on the ice was a major for boarding.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks next three (3) games.

April 4, 2021 - Brooks player, Taylor Makar is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Secondary Fight, during an April 3, 2021 game in Calgary.  This suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines.  Brooks player, Taylor Makar is also suspended an additional one (1) game for receiving a game misconduct for third man in on a fight.  The suspension falls under rule #3.9 of the AJHL By-Laws.  This suspension is to be served during the Bandits next two (2) games.

April 4, 2021 - Calgary player, Carter Benoit is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Secondary Fight, during an April 3, 2021 game in Calgary.  This suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks next game.

April 3, 2021 - Fort McMurray Oil Barons player, Ethan Jamernik, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding, during an April 2, 2021 game in Spruce Grove.  The suspension falls under rule #6.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next two (2) games.

March 29, 2021 - A video review has taken place on a body check delivered by Fort McMurray player, Max Struss, during a March 28, 2021 game in Spruce Grove.  The review has found that Max Struss should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact.  Therefore, Fort McMurray player, Max Struss, is suspended (2) two games.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines

March 29, 2021 - A video review has taken place on a cross check delivered by Okotoks player, Coltan Wilkie, during a March 28, 2021 game in Okotoks.  The review has found that Coltan Wilkie should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines.  Therefore, Okotoks player, Coltan Wilkie, is suspended (2) two games.

March 22, 2021 - Calgary Canucks player, Riley Bodnarchuk, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct during the March 21, 2021 game in Calgary.

March 14, 2021 - A video review has taken place on a boarding minor called against Fort McMurray player, Tristan Kimmen, during a March 13, 2021 game in Fort McMurray.  The review has found that Tristan Kimmen should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Checking From Behind.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Minimum Suspension Guidelines.  Therefore, Fort McMurray player, Tristan Kimmen, is suspended (2) two games.

March 13, 2021 - Okotoks Oilers player, Zane Kindrachuk, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing, during a March 13, 2021 game in Okotoks.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Kneeing.  This suspension is to be served during the Oilers next two (2) games.

March 12, 2021 - Drumheller Dragons player, Luke Fennig, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct during the March 12, 2021 game in Camrose. This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next game.

November 9, 2020 - Camrose Kodiaks player, Griffen Fraser, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during a November 8, 2020 game in Sherwood Park.

November 8, 2020 - Olds player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being involved in a Secondary One Man Fight, during a November 7, 2020 game in Olds.

November 1, 2020 - A video review has taken place on a body check delivered by Sherwood Park player, Ashton McNelly, during an October 31, 2020 game in Spruce Grove. The review has found that Ashton McNelly should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact. Therefore, Sherwood Park player Ashton McNelly is suspended (3) three games.

November 1, 2020 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Drumheller player, Tyson Gross, during an October 31, 2020 game in Drumheller. The review has found that Tyson Gross should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Checking From Behind. Therefore, Drumheller player Tyson Gross is suspended (2) two games.

October 31, 2020 - A video review has taken place on a charging minor delivered by Spruce Grove player, Matthew Rempe, during an October 30, 2020 game in Sherwood Park. The review has found that Matthew Rempe should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact. Therefore, Spruce Grove player Matthew Rempe is suspended (3) three games.

October 28, 2020 - A video review has taken place on a high stick delivered by Camrose player, Brennan Davis, during an October 17, 2020 game in Drumheller. The review has found that the Camrose player, Brennan Davis should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact. Therefore, Camrose player, Brennan Davis, is suspended (3) three games.

October 25, 2020 - Okotoks Oilers player, Blake Jacques, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during a October 24, 2020 game in Brooks. This suspension is to be served during the Oilers next two (2) games.

October 24, 2020 - Drumheller Dragons player, Tyson Gross, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing, during a October 23,2020 game in Camrose. This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next two (2) games.

October 24, 2020 - Calgary Canucks player, Dylan Clark, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Head Contact, during a October 23, 2020 game in Olds. This suspension is to be served during the Canucks next three (3) games.

October 17, 2020 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Spruce Grove player, Nikola Jovanovic, during an October 16, 2020 game in Drayton Valley. The review has found that Nikola Jovanovic should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Checking From Behind. Therefore, Spruce Grove player, Nikola Jovanovic, is suspended (3) three games.

October 10, 2020 - Fort McMurray player, Max McCoy, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind, during a October 10, 2020 game in Bonnyville. Please note that the original call on the ice was a major for Boarding and was changed to Checking From Behind as per the bullet points below. This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next three (3) games.

October 9, 2020 - Calgary Canucks player, Kyle Woo, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind, during a October 9, 2020 game in Calgary. The original call on the ice was a major for a Blow to the Head and was changed to Checking From Behind. This suspension is to be served during the Canucks next two (2) games.
