BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are thrilled to announce that 2000-born forward Chris Pappas has committed to St. Lawrence University (NCAA Division I) where he’ll attend and play for the Saints.
Pappas was one of three Bandits to play in every game during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 58 points (22 G and 36 A) in 58 games. The Toronto, ON native finished 5th on the team in scoring, and was named the Bandits Most Improved Player at the year-end awards.
“Chris was our most improved player throughout the season,” said Bandits head coach and general manager, Ryan Papaioannou.
“His ability to overcome adversity early in the year led to him becoming a relied upon player down the stretch. He’s deserving of the opportunity with St. Lawrence and will undoubtedly be a big part of their team.”
Located in Canton, New York, the Saints play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) under head coach Brent Brekke.
