Kodiaks’ Laskosky Captures Viterra Cup, Named Alberta Ford Dealers Player of the Month

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for February 2020 is Camrose Kodiaks forward Cody Laskosky.  Cody wrapped up the regular season with 21 points (11G, 10A) through 10 games in February and a 14-game point streak dating back to January 24th, 2020.

Laskosky (New Norway, AB) led the Kodiaks in scoring with 86 points (40G, 46A) and finished seventh in the AJHL Scoring Race.  The 20 year-old was twice named the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week in February as he recorded seven multi-point games and earned the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award four times.

The four-year veteran of the AJHL has committed to RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) for the 2020-21 season. 

Cody Laskosky, 20, has also captured the 2019-20 Viterra Cup with a league-leading 16 Viterra AJHL Star of the Game selections.  Each AJHL regular season game concludes with the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award, which recognizes a player from each team deemed to be the game’s top player.  Every time a player is recognized as the game star, they receive 5-points in the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Standings.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League is pleased to partner with the Alberta Ford Dealers Association to recognize the Player of the Month throughout the regular season.  The AJHL and Ford also partner on the Alberta Ford Dealers Defensive Player of the Week.
