Camrose Kodiaks forward Bowen Grycan is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for November 11th-17th, 2024. The 2006-born recorded his sixth multi-point game of the season and his second game winning goal of the season in a double header versus the Grande Prairie Storm.
Grycan (Grande Prairie, AB) and the Kodiaks traveled to his hometown for a doubleheader versus the Storm on November 15th & 16th. The match up was a battle of the top team in the Viterra AJHL South Division versus the leader of the Viterra AJHL North Division. The Kodiaks took game one by a score of 2-1 and were victorious the following night with a 5-4 result. Grycan recorded a career-high four-point (2G, 2A) game and the game winning goal for the Kods.
Bowen Grycan is in the Top 20 of AJHL Scoring Leaders with 19 points (9G, 10A). The Camrose Kodiaks retain top spot in the Viterra AJHL South Division and have not lost in regulation over their last nine games (8-0-0-1).

This is his second Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week selection of the 2024-25 season.
Xavier Lacoste and the Wolverines defensive core shut down the Olds Grizzlys to record a 3-0 win on November 15th with Lacoste posting an assist in the game. On November 16th, the second-year Wolverine scored a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Lacoste was named as the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game.
Lacoste and the Wolverines have allowed the second fewest goals against (53) in the AJHL and are tied for first place in the Viterra AJHL North Division Standings with the Grande Prairie Storm.
2006-born forward Cooper Moore is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week after leading the AJHL with five points (2G, 3A) last week. The Lloydminster Bobcats rookie scored two game winning goals to lead his team to back-to-back victories.
Cooper Moore (Red Deer, AB) posted a three-point game on November 15th with two assists and the game winning goal versus the Devon Xtreme. He was recognized as the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game in the 3-1 road win. The next night, Cooper recorded his tenth assist of the season and second game winning goal in a 5-2 defeat of the Drayton Valley Thunder.
Moore is tied for eighth in scoring among AJHL rookies with 15 points (5G, 10A). The Bobcats are undefeated in regulation time through their last seven games (6-0-0-1).
