TICKET SALES SET TO OPEN
FOR 2010 RBC CUP IN DAUPHIN, MANITOBA
The countdown is on to the 2010 RBC Cup, Canada’s National Junior A Championship.
The 2010 tournament will be held in Dauphin, Man., from May 1-9, 2010. On Tuesday, Hockey Canada announced the first ticket packages, giving fans throughout Canada the chance to reserve their seats for one of Canada’s most prestigious national championships.
Early-bird ticket packages for regular seats are $195 and, for club seats, $230, plus taxes and fees. For VIP access, a fee of $160 will be added to the price. VIP access includes front-of-line service, a full-week pass for cabarets and VIP parking and lounge access.

“We’re extremely proud to have this tremendous opportunity to play host to the National Junior A Championship,” say Kit and Randy Daley, co-chairs of the 2010 RBC Cup.
The Daleys add that they’re please with the support the event has received from the City of Dauphin and the rural municipality, Dauphin Recreation Services, local MLA Stan Struthers, Hockey Manitoba, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and Hockey Canada.

The 2010 RBC Cup will include the host Dauphin Kings, along with four regional teams that will be determined during league playoffs in spring 2010. Dauphin Kings president Darren Russell says he’s looking forward to a great 2009-10 season, culminating with the RBC Cup.
“Summer will soon pass and we will drop the puck on the 2009-2010 season,” says Russell. “We hope everyone will take the time to experience the excitement of Dauphin Kings home games and join us on the road to the 2010 RBC Cup. CAMROSE TO PLAY HOST TO 2011 RBC CUP
Camrose, Alberta will host the 2011 RBC Cup, Canada’s National Junior A Championship. The Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League will serve as the tournament’s host team.
The 2011 RBC Cup will be held in May 2011 with the Kodiaks and four regional champions facing off for the 32nd national championship.
The Kodiaks have been one of Canadian Junior A hockey’s most successful teams over the past decade, appearing in five national championships (2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008). The team won the 2001 championship in Flin Flon, Man., and made championship appearances in 2003, 2005 and 2008.
“We are extremely excited and honoured to have the privilege of hosting the 2011 RBC Cup,” says Barry Fossen, president of the Camrose Kodiaks. “This is a time for celebration for the Community of Camrose, our volunteers, sponsors, billets, fans, and organization. We will make this the best ever RBC Cup in history, there is no doubt in my mind! On behalf of the Camrose Sport Development Society I would like to thank Hockey Canada for giving us this great opportunity to showcase Junior A hockey.”
The 2011 RBC Cup will mark the fourth time the tournament is held in Alberta since it went to its current five-team format in 1990, and the first since Grande Prairie played host in 2004. Fort McMurray (2000) and Olds (1994) have also hosted the National Junior A Championship.
2011 RBC Cup ticket packages for Camrose Kodiaks season ticket holders will go on sale Oct. 25 for only $150. Packages can be purchased at any Kodiaks home game, or by calling the ticket office at 780-679-2603. Office hours are noon-4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Beginning Nov. 1, Kodiaks season ticket holders can also visit www.camrosekodiaks.com and download a ticket order form, which can be faxed or emailed to the Kodiaks office. Ticket package sales for non-season ticket holders will begin on Dec. 27.
