• Schedule Format

The 2012-2013 AJHL regular season will consist of 16 teams playing an unbalanced schedule of 60 games apiece.  The 480 game season begins on September 7th, 2012 and concludes on March 2nd, 2013.
 

• 2012 AJHL Showcase

From September 27th – 29th, 2012, the 6th Annual AJHL Showcase Weekend will return to the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove, Alberta.

• 2012 World Junior A Challenge and CJHL Prospects Games

The 2012 World Junior A Challenge and CJHL Prospects Event will be held from November 5 – 11, 2012 in .
Yarmouth, NS.

• Holiday Break

The AJHL will break for the Holiday Season from December 23nd – 29th, 2012.
 

• 2012 Semi Annual Meeting

On November 17th, 2012, the 2012 AJHL Semi-Annual Meeting will take place in Red Deer, Alberta.
 

• CJHL Trade Deadline

January 10th, 2013 as per Hockey Canada Regulations.
 

• 2013 AJHL Gas Drive Playoffs

The 2013 Alberta Junior Hockey League Playoffs will kick off on March 5th, 2013.

Round One:
The top seven teams in each division will make the 2013 AJHL Playoffs. The first place team in each division will
receive a bye during the best-of-five First Round Divisional Playoffs. (2 vs. 7, 3vs. 6, 4 vs. 5)

Round Two:
The first place team will play the lowest place team remaining in their division and the next highest placed team will play the other team in a best-of-seven series.

Round Three - League Semi-Finals:
The remaining two teams in each division will playoff for the title of Division Champion and advance to the League Final. (1vs. 4 & 2 vs. 3)

Round Four - League Final - ( Provincial Championship - Gas Drive Cup):
South Division Champion versus North Division Champion

• 2013 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup

The inaugural Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup will be held from April 26th – May 5th, 2013 in Nanaimo,
BC.

• 2013 RBC Royal Bank Cup (National Junior A Championship):

The 2013 RBC Cup will take place from May 11th – 19th, 2013 in Summerside, PEI.
