Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week: February 1st – February 7th, 2010
February 8th, 2010 – John McInnis is the Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week for the week of February 1st - 7th, 2010, during which time he recorded 7 goals and 2 assist in 4 games for the Okotoks Oilers. McInnis recorded a hat trick and the Player of the Game honour in a 5-3 victory over the Calgary Royals in his first game of the week. He was also awarded the Player of the Game award the following night versus the Olds Grizzlys. McInnis has recorded at least one point in 18 of his last 20 games and is currently riding a 4 game goal scoring streak.
McInnis leads the Oilers in goals (34), game winning goals (8) and points (63), and has averaged 1.2 points per game during the regular season thus far. The 20 year-old forward from Boston, MA is currently in his second and final season for the Okotoks Oilers.
