The Calgary Canucks are pleased to announce that 1998–born forward and team captain Nic Herringer has committed to University of Wisconsin-River Falls for the 2019-2020 season. Herringer began his Junior A career with the Canucks in 2016-2017 and rejoined the team for the 2018-2019 season. In the 2018-2019 season, Herringer scored 17 goals and 16 assists for a total of 33 points in 60 games.
Coach Moran had this to say about Herringer, “Nic lead our team by example last season on and off the ice which lead to him deserving being named our captain at the midpoint of the season. He played hard minutes for us in all situations throughout the season and it comes as no surprise that he will continue his hockey career at Wisconson-River Falls next season. We wish Nic all the best as he moves forward.”
The Calgary Canucks organization would like to congratulate Nic and his family on this accomplishment and wish him all the best on and off the ice next season.
