Pedersen jumps up to Jr. A with Oil Barons

Erik Pedersen’s move from AAA midget to the Alberta Junior Hockey League was a big one - both literally and figuratively.
Pedersen, a just-turned 17-year-old from Airdrie, is a rookie right winger with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.
The youngest player on the team, Pedersen has recorded a single goal in 10 games so far this season. The transition to junior A from AAA midget, where Pedersen played last season with the Edge School in Springbank, has been a big one.
