Viterra Cup Standings - October 2016

Jordan Xavier of the Calgary Mustangs leads the Viterra Cup Standings as of October 31st, 2016.  Xavier (Calgary, AB) has received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award 6 times through the opening months of the season and leads the Viterra Cup Standings with 30 points. 

Jordan Xavier (19) was named the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for October 2016 after scoring 19 points in a 10 game point streak.  Xavier leads the Mustangs in scoring with 22 points (12G, 10A) and is 6th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race. 

In second place is Bryson Traptow, who was recently traded from the Whitecourt Wolverines to the Camrose Kodiaks, and has received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award 5 times.  There is a 4-way tie for third place in the Viterra Cup Standings between Ben Assad (Calgary Canucks), Coy Prevost (Canmore Eagles), Nolan Thompson (Okotoks Oilers), and PJ Marrocco (Bonnyville Pontiacs).

Each of the 480 AJHL regular season games conclude with the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award, which recognizes a player from each team deemed to be the game’s top player.  Every time a player is recognized as a Viterra AJHL Star of the Game throughout the regular season, they will receive 5 points in the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Standings.
